Tiepolo – Venice in the North 17.9.2020 – 10.1.2021
The Venetian master Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (1696–1770) founded, together with his sons Giovanni Domenico (1727–1804) and Lorenzo (1736–1776), a famous workshop, which received commissions from Venetian noble families, foreign princes and royal courts. The exhibition presents the art of Tiepolo, for the first time in Finland, through oil paintings, drawings and etchings. The selection of artworks includes several works distinctively linked together but never before exhibited in the same exhibition. On the guided tour you will experience the fascinating stories behind the masterpieces.
