Minna Eväsoja: Faded elegance – on the special characteristics of Japanese aesthetics

Minna Eväsoja, PhD, has published five books and more than 40 scientific articles on Japanese aesthetics, on which her lecture will elaborate.

She has worked as an acting professor at the University of Helsinki and as a researcher at the Academy of Finland.

She has lived in Japan for five years, studying Japanese aesthetics at the Urasenke school of tea, as well as at the Kobe University and Takarazuka University.

In her current job in the health care sector, Eväsoja has taught and linked art and aesthetics with rehabilitation and well-being.
